Historical Perspective of the Temple:
The temple holds the history that a king named Sumathi wished to worship Balaji of Thirumala as Krishna. His devotion and surrender towards the almighty compelled Balaji to appear as Krishna in front of the king. The temple comprises the idol of the diety in the exact pose as he appeared in front of King. In the same pose Krishna stood in the Mahabharata war. At the end of the war the king decided not to hold any weapons. That is why the temple holds the idol only with a conche in his hand. Hence this temple is also known as parthasarathi temple.

Sri Parthasarathi Temple Divines:
The deities in the temple include the Moolavar of this sthalam is Venkata Krishnan. Apart from the Rukmani Piratiyar the statue also holds sword in one hand, Varadha Muthirai on the other hand and his brother Balaraman on his right, Sathaki lies on the left of the idol. Son Prathyumnan and Grand son Aniruthan are also found near the Moolavar. The idol in the temple is in the standing position facing Thirumugham towards his East direction.

Kairavini Saras is the main pushkarani of this Sthalam. Apart from this some other theerthams like Meena theertham, theertham, Indra theertham, Soma theertham, Vishnu theertham are also found in this Sthalam.

Sri Parthasarathi Temple also comprises the Vimanam which is in the temple with Five Nillays and Seven Kalasams on it. The Five Nillays are mentioned as below:
  • Pranava
  • Ananda
  • Sesha and
  • Thaivagai vimanam.
  • Pushpaka
The Thayaar of the Allikeni sthalam is Vedavalli Thayaar comprise following Sannadhis:
  • Thaayar Sannadhi.
  • Sri Varadharajan Sannadhi.
